Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Remodeler to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled craftsperson who can work independently or alongside a team to execute residential remodeling projects from start to finish. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality craftsmanship, solving problems on-site, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and up to our standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality work across multiple residential remodeling trades, including finish carpentry, drywall patching/texture, tile, cabinetry installation, door/window casing, and basic plumbing/electrical fixtures.
- Read and interpret project scope, plans, and technical specifications to execute tasks accurately.
- Manage daily job site setup, task execution, clean-up, and material organization.
- Troubleshoot unexpected field conditions and coordinate solutions with the Lead Remodeler or Project Manager.
- Work efficiently while maintaining job site safety, clean workspace protocols, and quality control.
- Help guide, mentor, and work collaboratively with Apprentice Remodelers on site.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team leaders.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling, general contracting, or trade-specific carpentry.
- Location: Must live within 20–30 minutes of Chandler/Gilbert/Mesa (East Valley).
- Craftsmanship: Strong multi-trade skills with a focus on finish work, attention to detail, and efficient execution.
- Tools: Must own a full set of basic trade hand tools and battery-operated power tools suitable for daily remodeling work.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs regularly; comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in varied residential conditions.
- Tech & Logistics: Valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation (truck or van preferred). Smartphone required for daily project updates and scheduling.
- Professional Standards: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, professional appearance, pass a background check, pass a drug test (including medical marijuana), and maintain sobriety.
