Sonrise Christian Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Two-Year-Old classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a warm, faith-centered preschool community.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, loves working with young children, and is interested in growing in the field of early childhood education.
Position Details
Position: Preschool Assistant Teacher (Two-Year-Old Classroom)
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and activities
- Supervise and engage children during play and learning time
- Support routines such as snack, transitions, and nap time
- Encourage positive behavior and social development
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Participate in circle time, story time, and simple learning activities
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team
Qualifications
- Must love working with young children
- Must have completed or be actively working toward the Florida 45-hour Child Care Training requirement
- Willing to continue professional development in early childhood education
- Patient, dependable, and positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must pass Florida Level 2 background screening
