Dental Assistant - Private Practice

Sonoran Dental Studio is a new, growing, family-owned dental practice in Buckeye, Arizona, seeking a dependable and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will help provide high-quality dental care while creating a warm, professional, and exceptional patient experience.

Pay: Starting at $20 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 3–4 days per week

We are looking for someone who is positive, organized, adaptable, and willing to be an active member of a small private-practice team. Clinical skills are important, but attitude, communication, reliability, and teamwork are equally important to us.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the dentist chairside during restorative, crown and bridge, surgical, and other procedures
• Recording patient medical and dental histories and maintaining accurate digital records
• Preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments and equipment according to infection-control protocols
• Taking dental radiographs as needed
• Performing coronal polishing within the scope of certification
• Preparing, stocking, and maintaining clean and organized treatment rooms
• Taking impressions and digital scans as directed
• Providing patient education and post-treatment instructions
• Documenting treatment and assisting with accurate clinical charting
• Conducting routine maintenance on dental equipment
• Helping maintain efficient patient flow and a smooth schedule
• Supporting front-office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient inquiries
• Working collaboratively with the dentist, hygienist, front office, and other team members
• Helping wherever needed to support the practice and patient experience

Qualifications:

• Dental assisting experience preferred
• Current Arizona dental radiography certification required
• Current coronal polishing certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional, service-oriented demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to receive direction, adapt, and contribute to a growing practice
