Looking for an Infrastructure Architect to help them with moving datacentre to AWS Cloud, so experience setting up an infrastructure to the Cloud is key.
- Experience with infrastructure that support SaaS type applications and Managed Services is required.
- VMware experience is also desired. Virtualization, Converged and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure would be a plus.
- Will work on infrastructure solutions and operations.
- Experience working with vendors like AWS, Dell EMC (VCE), Hitachi, NetApp, VMware, Cisco, Avaya, Veritas.
- Experience with Hosted UC engineering and operations would be a plus.
- Application Platform services is a plus.
- End User Computing and Collaboration technologies is a plus.
- Infrastructure and Operations integration/centralization is a plus.
- Disaster Recovery (DR/BCP – Business Continuity Planning and Delivery) is a plus.
- Database platforms like Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL engineering and operations.
- Middleware Platforms like Oracle, Open Source engineering and operations.
- Unix, Linux, Wintel (Server OS) engineering and operations.
- Storage, Backup, Data protection engineering.
Qualifications
Moving datacentre to AWS and moving Banner database to cloud, going from onsite to cloud, build out datacentre to cloud. VMS Ware and Cisco, need someone to help implementing the plan that was that IDS helped build. Individual team that is being managed.
Infrastructure with demonstrated experience in migrating platforms to the Cloud. The candidate will be involved in assessing existing platforms, designing future state, and building transition in order to migrate both applications and infrastructure to the cloud. The role requires solid experience in cloud computing environments, hands on technical skills, passion and appetite to master new technologies, and excellent communication skills.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption
• Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Support development of new standards, stated directions, and guideline
• Assess application and data readiness for cloud technology adoption
• Assist in ensuring that cloud based systems are aligned to the architectural and security guidelines
• Experience architecting cloud infrastructures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for small, medium scale and enterprise level applications.
