Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and collision damage restoration with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG welding), and airless paint sprayers to execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct auto painting and auto glass replacement, ensuring seamless finishes and proper fitment.
- Fabricate sheet metal parts and perform metalwork repairs using soldering, welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and assembly work when needed.
- Prepare vehicles for detailing by performing sanding, sanding prep work, and surface finishing to achieve a polished look.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress and provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques, sheet metal work, and auto painting processes.
- Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including auto glass installation, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair fundamentals.
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software is a plus; excellent attention to detail is essential.
