Production Worker- 2nd Shift

Position: Production Worker

Location: Jamesburg, NJ

Starting Pay: $25.19 an hour $0.50 of Shift Differential pay

Shift: 2nd shift Only

While reporting to the production shift supervisor, you will be responsible for working on the production line and ensuring the production of a quality product in a safe working environment. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success . You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects in the product or process. What You Will Be Doing

• Being able to work at a fast pace
• Removing product from the line and visually inspecting to assure quality standards
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Helping out in other departments as needed, including but not limited to the palletizing, labeling and warehouse areas of the factory.

• We would like for you to have at least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment (Field work is okay)
• You have to have a “get it done” attitude.
• To succeed in this role you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
• Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality focused is a must.
• You will need to be able to lift 25 lbs. as needed.
• Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.
• You will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• You will need to able to perform repetitive duties, including going up and down stairs and standing for long periods of time.
• You will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work outside of regular shift hours including weekends if production or customer demands require it.
