Guided by our mission to partner with colleges, universities and businesses to build a strong talent pipeline of Sonoco's future leaders, students spend the summer working on impactful projects within a division, gaining valuable business knowledge, leadership skills and an understanding of Sonoco’s culture — preparing them to become the next generation of innovators and leaders in our industry:
Internships are paid, and relocation assistance is provided (U-Haul cargo trailer). We also provide a housing and activity allowance, and Sonoco sponsored activities with other interns and new Emerging Leaders Associates.

To become an intern with Sonoco, there are a few things we’re looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Engineering, Sciences, Technology or Business majors
- Previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or functional area)
- Proven leadership experience
- Technical aptitude
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Monthly base salary for Undergraduate Business/Non-Technical Degrees:
