What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ski Concierge position at Sonnenalp Hotel?
The Sonnenalp is looking for a Full-Time Seasonal Ski Concierge.
Wage: 16.00/hour plus tips
Primary Purpose of Position
Ski Valet will extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons of the ski valet. Valets are also responsible for transferring ski equipment and gear to and from the Ski Haus for hotel guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Will report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain a teamwork orientation towards co-workers.
- Serves guests in every possible way, exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
- Will make the pick-up and drop-off transfers of all ski equipment between the hotel and ski valet.
- Controls inventory of ski equipment and manages to minimize any loss.
- Maintains a constant presence at the Ski Valet to insure guest satisfaction in a timely manner.
- Assists guests with storage and retrieval of ski equipment.
- Assists in advising guests of all In-house venues and activities.
- Reports any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to the Ski Valet Supervisor or Manager on Duty.
- Performs frequent cleaning/maintenance on ski racks and all ski valet areas
- Performs additional duties as defined by Front Office or other departments.
Recommended Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience.
- Good physical condition, able to carry heavy loads.
- Valid driver’s license and clean record of driving
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to “think on your feet”, and must be well organized as well as personable & polite.
- Must be able to work outside and inside in all weather conditions
Essential Physical Requirements
- Able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs
- Physically able to ride a bike while pulling equipment trailer
- Able to work outdoors in inclement and widely changing weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for full length of shift, up to 12 hours a day
- Able to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting
