Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Electronic Security Technician and become a vital part of safeguarding commercial and residential environments through cutting-edge security solutions. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of electronic security systems, including alarm systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, fire alarms, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Your expertise will ensure our clients’ safety and security needs are met with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test electronic security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), fire alarms, and door security system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex security equipment issues using hand tools, power tools, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting electrical blueprints.
  • Conduct system design assessments to recommend optimal security solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Perform low-voltage electrical wiring and cabling for new installations or upgrades while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Provide remote access software support for system diagnostics and troubleshooting from various locations.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional customer service by explaining system functions and resolving technical concerns efficiently.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics and construction drawings to ensure accurate system installation and integration.
  • Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all installations, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist in sales activities related to alarm system upgrades or new installations by explaining technical features to clients.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a service technician in electronic security or related fields such as telecommunications or low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools for equipment installation and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics related to security systems.
  • Familiarity with CCTV surveillance systems, sensors (motion detectors), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), fire alarm systems, access control hardware, and door security system integration.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components relevant to security systems including remote access software setup and network configurations.
  • Experience working with low-voltage electrical wiring standards (NEC compliance) in construction or retrofit environments.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Construction experience or background in physical security system installation is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
