Job Description for Instrumentation Engineer requirement at Kansas
Responsibilities of Role:
- Work as an onsite PCIS Engineer (Controls and Instrumentation Engineer) in a process plant environment base in Kansas City.
- Deliver designs and Engineering packages related to power and instrumentation installation for industrial plants.
- Define the scope of work discussing with customer, coordinate with the offshore team and deliver the Engineering Deliverables.
- Coordinate with Customer to collect all the required inputs to complete the Engineering Design.
- Coordinate with vendors and construction team to get the required information for completing the design.
- Attend design reviews along with customer and the construction team and get the necessary approvals.
- Support in construction and start up activities.
- Lead electrical startup of all process and packing equipment.
Skills Required:
- Should have worked as an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer developing engineering design packages for industrial plants.
- Should have Knowledge in specifying process plant instruments and hands on experience in selection of instrumentation.
- Selection and design of controls and hardware for control and monitoring process plant instrumentation.
- Instrumentation knowledge and experience – set-up, calibration verification, adjustments, etc.
Fisher Valves, Micro Motion Flowmeters, Rosemount transmitters, E H Flowmeters and Transmitter, Rockwell control and communication system and Allen Bradly VFDs
- Prepare Instrument Datasheets, IO Lists, Instrument List, Wiring Diagrams and Engineering Information.
- Knowledge in PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.
- Experienced in LV Electrical Distribution Design Power Distribution Panels, Motor Control Centers for process plants in compliance with NEC.
- Previous experience with MCC’s, VFD’s, electrical troubleshooting, electrical schematics
- Previous work experience in system commissioning and validation would be a plus.
- Trained and qualified in NFPA70E requirements.
