Position Overview
We are hiring an **Industrial Robot Teaching Programmer** to join our System Engineering team. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for individuals with experience operating or programming robots using teach pendants. You will travel to client manufacturing sites and support robot programming for tasks such as spot welding, material handling, or assembly using brands like FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB, Kawasaki, and Nachi.

Key Responsibilities
- Program and teach industrial robots using teach pendants
- Define robot paths, tool functions, IO logic, and safety parameters
- Conduct on-site testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with client engineers and operators on production requirements
- Support system bring-up, changeovers, and production launch
- Document all programming steps and changes
- Provide feedback to Sonic System USA’s internal team regarding project progress

Required Qualifications
**Minimum Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to travel across the U.S. for on-site work (primarily Midwest/South)
- Comfortable working in active production environments
- Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
**Due to the travel-based nature of this role, a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle for work-related travel are required.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Hands-on experience with industrial robots via teach pendant
- Experience with FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB, Kawasaki, or Nachi robots
- Familiarity with DCS, safety fences, interlocks
- Experience in automotive or mass production facilities
- PLC knowledge is a plus
- Japanese language or cross-cultural experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- **Hourly Rate:** $28.00 – $45.00/hour (Based on experience)
