What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst - Underwriting Technology position at Soni?
The client is seeking a Business Analyst to support and enhance enterprise underwriting technology platforms within a highly collaborative, Agile environment. This role sits at the intersection of Underwriting, IT, and Product, acting as a critical liaison who translates complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams—and brings technical outcomes back to business users in an understandable way.
This position is part of an integrated delivery team that includes Business Analysts, Product Owners, software developers, and quality assurance professionals. Development is supported by an offshore IT team, and the Business Analyst III will begin each day working closely with offshore partners, then spend the remainder of the day collaborating with Underwriting stakeholders on enhancements, production support, testing, and process improvements.
The ideal candidate brings direct group insurance and underwriting experience, a strong understanding of IT Business Analysis, and a growth mindset. Candidates with deep underwriting experience and strong aptitude who are eager to grow further into the BA discipline are strongly encouraged to apply.
