Responsibilities

• Perform thorough floor cleaning and care using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and sanitized.
• Handle cleaning tasks across various hotel areas, including lobbies, hallways, guest rooms (as needed), and public spaces.
• Manage custodial responsibilities such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal with precision and efficiency.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and hotel safety protocols.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to supplies or equipment, following manual handling procedures to prevent injury.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by properly handling chemical agents and ensuring all cleaning processes meet health regulations.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by replenishing supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries politely and promptly while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors.
• Experience handling cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards within a hotel environment.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest satisfaction.
• Prior experience working in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial roles is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
