Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, elevators, and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues early.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks based on established schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Carry out mechanical repairs such as welding, plumbing fixes, and residential painting to maintain property aesthetics and functionality.
- Troubleshooting.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during larger repair or renovation projects, demonstrating leadership and supervisory skills.
- Maintain detailed schematics and technical documentation for all systems to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies by following proper procedures during all maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or residential settings; manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and troubleshooting tools such as Ohmmeters is essential.
- Skilled in welding, residential painting, plumbing, and general handyman tasks.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated system management.
- Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and facility layouts accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
- Supervising or leadership experience demonstrating the ability to manage projects or teams effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, mechanical repairs, and general facilities maintenance.
