Duties:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Help with laundry and other household tasks as needed.
- Assist with medical documentation and record keeping.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current HHA Certificate for the state of California.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience as a home health aide or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Any other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.
