Job Title: Hostess/Host

Reports To: Restaurant Leadership

Summary of Position:

The Hostess/Host position is an integral part of the SoNapa Experience. As a Hostess/Host, you will welcome and warmly greet each guest in a manner that is true to our Mission.

What am I responsible for as a Hostess/Host at SoNapa Grille?

• I will make a memorable first impression with a warm and friendly greeting.
• I will open the front door for our guests, when possible.
• I will make a genuine connection with our guests by engaging them in conversation when possible.
• I will use the technology available to manage and coordinate the waitlist and seat Guests with a sense of urgency.
• I will keep my area clean and organized.
• I will use the guests name to make a personal connection.
• I will walk guests to tables and a comfortable pace
• I will deliver menus with a smile and inform the guests of their servers name
• I will be aware of my surroundings and support guests needs, whatever they may be
• I will document and communicate special occasions with the Leadership team and the service team
• I will open the door for guests as they leave, when possible, while showing genuine gratitude for their patronage and a heartfelt invite to return

Qualifications:

• Should be upbeat, positive and outgoing
• No previous restaurant experience necessary
• Must be willing to work on your feet for 4 hours at a time
• Must be able to communicate clearly with our guests
• Must be well groomed at all times
• Must have a genuine sense of hospitality
