Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Class A Driver/Operator to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks with the occasion of a hydrovac truck. Your expertise in driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries across diverse routes while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles such as flatbeds, dump trucks, and hydrovac truck on occasion.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment when necessary. Operator certifications will be a requirement.
- Drive on designated routes ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness; report any issues promptly.
- Secure cargo properly for transport, including handling specialized loads.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and route records; communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Assist with loading or unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of freight to prevent damage or safety hazards.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Must consent to a MVR.
- Pre-employment alcohol and drug screening.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles; experience with tractor-trailers is essential.
- Familiarity with different trailer types such as flatbeds and dump trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using proper equipment or manual methods; equipment operator certifications is a must.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling and vehicle operation; adherence to DOT regulations required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
