Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for SLPs (Speech-Language Pathologists), OTs (Occupational Therapists), PTs (Physical Therapists), and SEITs (Special Education Itinerant Teachers) at Somos Bilingües. The role involves providing culturally responsive assessments, therapy, and intervention services tailored to meet the diverse needs of children and families. Responsibilities may include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with families, teachers, and other professionals, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role is based in Dobbs Ferry, NY and requires travel.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Valid and current licenses or certifications in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), or Special Education Itinerant Teaching (SEIT) as applicable
- Commitment to promoting equity in special education services
- Experience working with bilingual or bicultural populations is a plus
