Groundskeeping Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Groundskeeping Specialist to join our vibrant team in maintaining and enhancing our properties grounds. Duties

• Sweep and Dust walkways and common areas at the properties
• Clean and pickup trash particles around the property, maintain a zero tolerance policy on litter at the properties.
• Take out trash from community trash bins and replace with fresh empty bags
• Deep clean laundry rooms once weekly and empty lint tray's
• Sweep and maintain dumpster areas
• Deodorize and sanitize property dumpsters
• Power wash and clean property walkways and common areas
• Ensure common area furniture is clean and organized
• Ensure common areas are free of trash and debris
• Ensure dead plants are disposed of and plants are kept in healthy condition
• Ensure planters are organized, level, and neat
• Blow leaves out of parking lots and common areas
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, mulching, pruning, and bed edging to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and well-kept.
• Breakdown and Haul Out large items that do not fit in the property dumpsters to designated areas
• Maintain trees, shrubs, and hedges through trimming, pruning, and tree care practices to promote healthy growth and safety.
• Repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas.
• Assist with construction projects involving hardscape features like patios, walkways, or retaining walls.
• Support gardening activities by planting new flora, maintaining existing plantings, and managing landscape aesthetics.
• Conduct routine landscape and grounds inspections to identify issues requiring maintenance or repair.
• Follow safety protocols when handling tools, machinery, or hazardous materials to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
• Strong background in landscape maintenance, janitorial maintenance, and apartment maintenance preferred.
• Experience with tree care techniques including trimming and pruning.
• Ability to help with unit turnovers is a plus
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is desirable.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques both indoor and outdoor.
• Ability to use power washer and leaf blower
• Excellent physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Proven track record of completing tasks on time and meeting deadlines
• Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously while working independently or as part of a team.
• 2-3 Years Minimum Verifiable Experience in Groundskeeping, Apartment Maintenance or Janitorial Maintenance
• Experience with commercial and residential property work order management systems
• Reliable Source of Personal Transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.50 - $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
