Somich Design, a full-scale interior design firm and boutique gift shoppe in Solana Beach, is seeking a part-time, enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team on Fridays and Saturdays
As a sales associate, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and engaging shopping experience for clients and customers, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring that the sales floor is inviting, organized, and fully stocked.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly, approachable manner
- Provide knowledgeable assistance with products and provide gift and design suggestions
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and merchandising new inventory
- Support store events, promotions, and seasonal displays
- Handle returns or exchanges professionally and in line with store policies
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals
- Provide time off coverage for fellow associates
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Passion for interior design and home décor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work Friday and Saturday morning and afternoons, including select holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Experience with POS systems preferred
