As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you are the cornerstone of our progressive ABA services. More than just an implementer of programs, you are a play partner, a source of encouragement, and a trusted figure in a child's life. You will work one-on-one with children, using your creativity and compassion to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities. Guided by our progressive, child-led philosophy, you will help clients build real-world skills in a joyful, supportive, and natural environment. This role is for someone who is not only skilled in ABA principles but is genuinely invested in the happiness, growth, and future of the children and families we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Genuine Relationships: Establish and nurture a strong, trusting rapport with clients and their families, creating a safe and positive therapeutic environment.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Execute individualized, play-based ABA treatment plans developed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a focus on following the child's lead and interests.
- Foster Joyful Learning: Engage clients in fun, naturalistic, and meaningful activities that promote communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
- Collect Data Accurately: Meticulously track client progress and behavioral data during sessions, ensuring the information is reliable and reflects the client's growth.
- Collaborate with Purpose: Work side-by-side with families, providing them with support, modeling strategies, and ensuring they feel informed and involved in their child's progress.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and consistent communication with your supervising BCBA and the clinical team, actively participating in team meetings and ongoing training.
- Uphold Our Mission: Embody the core values of Something to Say ABA—leading with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to quality care.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Active and valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with children and collaborate effectively with parents and team members.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check.
- A patient, creative, and enthusiastic demeanor.
Preferred:
- 1 years of experience implementing ABA therapy, particularly with play-based or Natural Environment Teaching (NET) methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
- Interest in pursuing a career in ABA therapy or similar fields.
- Experience working as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
