Description
This is a high-value, cross-trained role responsible for driving physical inventory accuracy and maximizing efficiency. The position executes specialized inventory control tasks (cycle counting) during static hours and utilizes equipment proficiency to support operational metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Counting: Executes system-directed cycle counts in high-rack, bin, and staging locations. Performs counts accurately and documents all physical variances for the Night Supervisor.
- Equipment Proficiency: Safely and efficiently operate necessary material handling equipment (e.g., reach trucks, stand-up forklifts) to access all storage locations for counting and putaway tasks.
- Putaway & Throughput: Supports overall operations process flow by transitions to Putaway and Receiving Support to ensure rapid completion of the Dock-to-Stock cycle, contributing directly to Putaway Productivity targets.
- Location Integrity: Maintains cleanliness, organization, and labeling of physical storage locations to prevent future errors.
- SOP Compliance: Adheres strictly to all new safety and operational SOPs during all counting and material handling tasks.
Requirements
- Experience: 1 years of experience in material handling, inventory counting, or warehouse operations.
- Equipment Certification (Required): Must be currently certified or immediately certified on high-reach material handling equipment (e.g., stand-up forklift, reach truck).
- Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights safely.
- Traits: Detail-oriented, highly safety-conscious, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
