We are seeking a talented Event Floral Designer to join our creative team and play a key role in making every event we touch a beautiful success.
Job Overview:
The Event Floral Designer will work closely with our design team and create custom floral designs for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, galas, and private parties. This role requires a combination of creativity, design expertise, and event coordination to ensure that each arrangement perfectly aligns with the client's vision, theme, and budget. You will be responsible for designing, preparing, and delivering floral décor for events of all sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Create Event Floral Arrangements: Conceptualize and execute unique floral designs for large-scale events such as weddings, corporate events, galas, and other celebrations.
- Event Setup & Breakdown: Be hands-on in setting up floral displays, including centerpieces, bouquets, arches, and installations, on-site at event venues. Assist in teardown and cleanup after the event.
- Coordinate with Event Planners & Vendors: Collaborate with event planners, coordinators, and other vendors to ensure seamless integration of floral designs with other event elements.
- Manage Multiple Projects: Work on multiple events simultaneously, managing your time effectively to ensure all designs are completed on schedule.
- Quality Control: Ensure all floral arrangements meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetic appeal.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the rest of the design team to brainstorm ideas, share design insights, and execute event projects cohesively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event floral design, with a portfolio showcasing large-scale floral installations, wedding designs, and corporate event décor
- Strong understanding of floral design principles, color theory, and flower types.
- Ability to create a wide range of floral styles, from classic and elegant to modern and avant-garde.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with clients and event teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple event timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak event seasons.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for event deliveries.
Preferred Skills:
- Formal floral design education or certifications (e.g., AIFD, FTD) is a plus.
- Experience in event planning or working with event planning teams.
- Knowledge of floral installation techniques for large spaces (e.g., ceiling installations, large backdrops).
- Experience with event floral logistics, including load-in and load-out procedures.
