Somerset Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for providing support for a variety of maintenance-related areas throughout the facility. This is a temporary position.
Maintenance Assistant Job Duties:
- Assure that all defective machines, equipment, and appliances are repaired or replaced.
- See that grounds and facility are kept safe, neat, and orderly.
- Conduct monthly fire drills.
- Organize, maintain, and store all department-specific supplies and equipment.
- Report to supervisor all complaints and grievances made by residents, families, visiting individuals, agencies, etc.
- Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as directed or requested.
- Inventory, identify and help store resident’s personal possessions on an ongoing basis.
Maintenance Assistant Education:
- It is preferred that the Maintenance Assistant will have a minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program.
