The Hillsborough YMCA is looking for a responsible and motivated Personal Trainer who is looking to build a long-term client book. This role will start off working in our Wellness Department as a Floor Supervisor while they work to find clients to add to their book. These hours should directly transfer into Personal Training shifts. Some new clients may be available from Day 1.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop, implement, and instruct a variety of personal training and small group sessions

• Builds relationships to maintain a steady growth of member participation and increase member retention level

• Establish support to help members meet their goals

• Works wellness floor to find potential clients 

EXAMPLE JOB TASKS

• Provide Wellness Department Orientations to new members

• Identify and correct lifting techniques 

• Create client specific fitness programming

• Provide tours to potential members

• Register new members or current members for on-going training packages

• Data entry tracking

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have HS Diploma

• 1 Year of Personal Training Preferred 

• Advanced Certificate / CEUs Preferred

• Must have National Personal Trainer Certification

• Must be able to attract and retain new members

• CPR/First Aid Certification Required - will provide if needed

Intended Wellness Floor Supervisors Hours: 15/wk

Hours Directly Related to Personal Training will depend on your recruitment style and drive.
