Hillsborough YMCA is seeking safety focused lifeguards. You should be a leader that is quick to respond and ready to protect our members. You will learn life skills such as multi-tasking, time management, organization, and how to effectively handle difficult situations. Imagine going to work each day knowing that what you do will make a difference in the lives of others.
Position Summary:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 15.
- Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen (also can train the right candidate).
- Current YMCA or ARC Lifeguard or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
- Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
