We are seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and outgoing Camp Counselor to join our SCAP team! As a Camp Counselor, your top priority will be ensuring the safety, supervision, and positive experience of all campers. You will lead engaging activities, support campers throughout the day, and help create a fun, memorable, and nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, loves the outdoors, and is excited to share their passion for learning, exploration, and adventure with our campers. **Please note this position is seasonal**
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate games, sports, and a variety of outdoor activities
- Supervise campers closely and escort them safely between daily activities
- Provide fun and educational learning experiences
- Set up, break down, and maintain activity and camp equipment
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and guardians
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a camp counselor or in a similar youth‑focused role
- Experience leading or participating in a wide range of outdoor activities
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, running, standing for extended periods, and carrying equipment
