Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd Grade Math & Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in elementary education and a love for teaching young students. This role involves developing engaging curriculum plans that encourage curiosity and a love for learning in the fields of math and science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for 3rd-grade math and science subjects that meets state standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' social and emotional growth.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor students' progress through observations, assignments, and testing, and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certificate in Elementary Education or related field.
- Proven experience teaching math and/or science at the elementary level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and best practices in teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
