Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bakery Clerk. In this position you will be play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Your expertise in customer service and sales will contribute to an exceptional experience for our guests.
Duties
- Greet customers with a smile and "Hello" when they arrive.
- Learn to operate cash register ensuring proper cash is taken and change is accurate.
- Provide excellent customer service by pleasantly interacting with customers.
- Taking orders efficiently and accurately entering products into cash register.
- Assist in food preparation while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Keep the bakery cabinets clean and to go containers stocked.
- Make espresso, tea, and cocoa.
- Dip ice cream cones and make milkshakes and sundaes.
- Become familiar with all our products in order to assist customers.
- Recommend bakery, ice cream and cheese to customers.
- Record cooler and freezer temperatures daily keeping management informed if there is an issue.
- Check product quality daily to ensure freshness and pull stale dated products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Wash dishes and sweep floors as needed.

Experience
- Must have 2-3 years food service/retail food sales experience.
- A strong background in customer service is required.
- Be able to operate an electronic cash register.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is required.
