Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Cleaner to join our team and elevate our cleaning standards. Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of cleaning staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and on schedule
- Develop daily work schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Oversee janitorial activities including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restocking supplies
- Manage laundry operations when applicable, including sorting, washing, folding, and distribution of linens or uniforms
- Coordinate with management to prioritize cleaning projects in high-traffic or sensitive areas such as hospitality venues or healthcare facilities
- Train new staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, inspections, supplies inventory, and incident reports
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times while promoting a safe working environment for staff
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles with a strong background in housekeeping management
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate and guide teams effectively
- Expertise in janitorial services including deep cleaning techniques and laundry operations when necessary
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards is highly desirable
- Strong management skills with the ability to organize tasks efficiently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for training staff and coordinating with management teams
- Ability to inspect work quality meticulously and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment use, and workplace safety regulations
