Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
• Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized beverage recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, processing payments and giving correct change while balancing registers at shift end
• Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in beverage preparation and service
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles with knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and cash handling
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and create positive interactions
• Basic math skills for cash handling, giving accurate change, and managing sales totals
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and compliance
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours in the afternoon and evening shifts
