What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microbiology Laboratory Processing & QC Technician I - Part Time position at Solvita and Careers?
The Microbiology Laboratory Processing and QC Technician performs microbiological processing on samples received from Tissue Manufacturing and maintains Microbiology Lab equipment. In accordance with standard operating procedures, follows all applicable regulatory standards.
Shift: This is a limited PART TIME role, the days will be Saturday and Sunday, hours will be 10:00am - 6:30pm,
Essential Functions
1. Performs membrane filtration process on cultures received from Tissue Manufacturing.
2. Cleans biological safety cabinets and lab space in preparation for microbiological and QC testing.
3. Performs monthly, quarterly, and yearly QC and PM to maintain Microbiology Lab equipment.
4. Addresses and troubleshoots temperature monitoring systems.
5. Records information for internal record keeping.
6. Monitors supply inventory and prepares supplies for testing procedures.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Associates of Science (AS) in biological or related science; or
- Bachelor of Science in biological or related science
- Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
