QA & Testing Advisor (OnBase)
Summary
The QA & Testing Advisor is responsible for leading quality assurance and testing activities across enterprise healthcare initiatives, with a primary focus on OnBase applications, workflows, and integrations. This role provides strategic oversight of testing governance, planning, execution, and release readiness to ensure high-quality system implementations and enhancements.
The QA & Testing Advisor partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project leadership to validate business requirements, coordinate testing across multiple workstreams, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful deployments. This individual serves as the testing subject matter expert for OnBase, driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead QA and testing strategy for enterprise projects with a strong emphasis on OnBase implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and testing schedules across multiple initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Validate business and functional requirements to ensure complete test coverage and alignment with project objectives.
- Partner with business users, technical teams, and project managers to facilitate testing, issue resolution, and deployment readiness.
- Manage defect lifecycle, including identification, prioritization, tracking, retesting, and resolution.
- Ensure testing governance, documentation, and quality standards are consistently followed throughout project delivery.
- Assess project risks related to quality and testing while providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Support release planning, go-live readiness, and post-deployment validation activities.
- Provide regular status updates and testing metrics to project leadership and key stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience leading Quality Assurance and Testing efforts for enterprise applications.
- Strong functional experience with OnBase, including document management, workflows, and system integrations.
- Experience coordinating and executing:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Experience managing defect tracking and resolution using Agile testing and defect management tools.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to manage testing activities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare payer or provider industry experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise content management or document management platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare business processes and regulated environments.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Familiarity with release management and deployment processes.
