Job Title:
Pharmacy Technician
Location:
Bruceton Mills, WV
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, days
No weekends or holidays
Up to 40 hours/week | 1-year contract: Oct 1, 2025 – Sept 30, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, labeling, and distributing medications
Maintain and restock medications, supplies, and emergency crash carts
Help manage automated dispensing systems and update medical records
Conduct audits, track narcotics and syringes, and maintain clean, compliant pharmacy areas
Participate in clerical duties: scanning, callouts, EMR updates, patient scheduling, and reporting
Support infection control, safety, and inventory procedures
Operate pharmacy systems and follow BOP Formulary guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (pharmacy tech, medical assistant, EMT, LVN, etc.)
CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred:
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Experience working in federal or correctional healthcare settings
Familiarity with EMR systems and pharmacy documentation
