What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Affairs Specialist position at Solvere Technical Group?
Solvere Technical Group is seeking a detail-oriented Public Affairs Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with CO, XO, ED, and Department Heads to maintain the command Public Affairs program;
- Provides professional photography, video, and audio services;
- Writes and edits articles for Navy publications;
- Supports crisis communications;
- Maintains command website, social media, and digital signage;
- Serves on MARMC Fire Response Team (FRT)
Experience:
- 2 yrs experience writing/editing publications (AP and U.S. Navy styles); knowledge of professional photography and digital imaging
- Experience with social media, podcast production, and on-the-spot presentations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Political Science, or English
