Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic ENT-related conditions
- Assist in minor in-office procedures, postoperative care, and patient follow-ups
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing or dispensing medications in accordance with state law
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement, peer review, and continuing education activities
Required:
- Current and unrestricted Alabama license as a Physician Assistant
- National certification (NCCPA)
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in ENT, allergy, or related specialty
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
For Physician Assistants:
- Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited PA program
- National certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinic or specialty practice
- Advanced clinical knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and diagnostic techniques
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
