Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to lead and manage all business office operations at our ASC in Littleton, CO. This position is responsible for front desk management, accounts payable, surgical scheduling, and oversight of revenue cycle performance through an external billing and collections vendor. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a systems thinker, and a team-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and customer service.
Ensure accurate data entry and timely patient registration processes.
Oversee surgical scheduling to optimize OR utilization and ensure coordination between surgeons, patients, and clinical staff.
Manage scheduling software and maintain up-to-date case logs.
Manages the business office within the established budget, including annual planning, and develops monthly status reports.
Monitor and process vendor invoices and payments.
Collaborate with finance to ensure accuracy in budget tracking and expense reporting.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the external billing and collections partner.
Monitor accuracy and timeliness of coding, claims submission, denials management, and collections.
Provide regular reporting to leadership on financial performance and identify areas for process improvement.
Ensure HIPAA and ASC regulatory compliance in all administrative workflows.
Maintain accurate records and participate in audits as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in medical office management, preferably in an ASC or surgical specialty setting
Strong understanding of healthcare billing, collections, and revenue cycle operations
Experience managing or liaising with third-party billing vendors
Proficiency in EHR systems and scheduling platforms (e.g., SIS, HST, or similar)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling patient and financial data
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
Prior orthopedic or surgical specialty experience
Working knowledge of payor-specific billing requirements in Colorado
