What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMPORARY CLEANING TECHNICIANS NEEDED - WEST POINT ARMY BASE PROJECT position at Solvent Cleaning Service Inc?
Solvent Cleaning Service is currently hiring temporary cleaning technicians for a detailed post-construction cleaning project at the Army base in West Point, NY.
THIS IS NOT GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING.
This is detailed commercial/industrial post-construction cleaning.
PROJECT DETAILS:
• Large banquet halls / armory halls
• Detailed wipe downs of columns, ledges, railings, stairs, edges, and surfaces
• High dusting and vacuuming of upper ledges and elevated areas
• Cleaning around HVAC units and HVAC rooms
• Sweeping, mopping, and final detail cleaning
• Light debris removal only (NO heavy lifting/demo work)
Some areas have ceilings approximately 20 feet high, so technicians must be comfortable:
• Working on ladders
• Using backpack vacuums
• Using extension dusters and cleaning tools
• Working in large commercial spaces
SCHEDULE:
• Shifts approximately 3 PM – 1 AM
• Work available immediately through Thursday
• Crews leave from the Bronx around 1:30 PM (if you are closer to the job site, we will provide the address to meet there instead)
REQUIREMENTS:
• MUST have clean background / no criminal issues
• MUST be authorized to work in the U.S.
• MUST have TWO forms of ID
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must be comfortable working overnight/late shifts
• Prior commercial cleaning or post-construction experience preferred
IMPORTANT:
Because this is an Army base, all workers must pass security/background requirements before entering the site.
