At SOLVE, our mission is simple Bring communities together to improve our environment and build a legacy of stewardship. We do that by facilitating hands-on volunteer opportunities across Oregon and SW Washington that help remove litter and restore native habitat in our natural areas and neighborhoods. The majority of SOLVE events are created and led by local volunteer leaders who have a stake in the health and strength of their community. We also offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities from one-time participation at a local event to leadership roles on a local or regional level. Join SOLVE and Intel for an Earth Month morning of community action in the Orenco Station neighborhood of Hillsboro!
We’ll kick things off by checking in, connecting with one another over coffee, tea, and a light snack, then head out together to sweep litter from nearby streets and shared spaces.
Spring rains may help everything bloom — but they also carry trash from our neighborhoods into local storm drains, waterways, and eventually our shared ocean.
By removing litter now, we’re protecting water health, wildlife, and the places we all love.
Intel has long been a leader in sustainability and community well-being, and this Earth Month event brings employees, retirees, local tech partners, and community members together to make a tangible, local impact right where we live and work.
All cleanup supplies will be provided — just bring your energy, and a readiness to make a difference!

What to Bring Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided All supplies are provided, including morning refreshments! We’ll start with a quick briefing on cleanup goals, what to collect, and safety tips to keep everyone protected and ready to make an impact.
Restrooms Restrooms at the New Season's (adjacent to the check-in location) will be available.
Parking Parking is available at the check-in site.
Transit This event is directly served by the TriMet MAX Blue Line (Orenco/NW 231st Ave Station) and TriMet bus route 47-Main/Evergreen. Additionally, the free North Hillsboro Link shuttle, a free service, connects the area to the local businesses.
Accessibility This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
