The Role
The Inside Sales Representative owns the full sales cycle for Solve IT Solutions' smaller Time & Materials (T&M) and break-fix accounts — from inquiry through quote, close, and handoff to service delivery. This role exists so the Account Executive can stay focused on higher-value, MRR-based managed services deals without being pulled into transactional, quick-turn opportunities.
This is a high-activity, fast-cycle sales role — deals here close in days, not months — and requires someone comfortable managing a steady volume of smaller transactions with efficiency and good judgment about when a T&M client might be a fit for managed services down the road.
What You'll Do
● Own inbound T&M/break-fix inquiries. Respond quickly to incoming requests for one-off IT support, project work, or break-fix service.
● Quote and close efficiently. Prepare accurate quotes and close small deals with minimal cycle time, keeping the transactional pipeline moving.
● Hand off to service delivery. Ensure closed work orders are cleanly transitioned to the technical team with accurate scope and expectations.
● Flag managed-services fit. Identify T&M clients who show signs of being a good fit for a recurring managed services relationship, and route those opportunities to the Account Executive.
● Track volume and trends. Maintain accurate records of inquiry volume, deal size, and close rates to help the Director of Sales validate and refine this role's staffing and scope over time.
● Maintain PSA hygiene. Log all quotes, deals, and client interactions accurately in PSA for reporting and handoff purposes.
