The Mine Electrician position plays an important role within Solvay.
About The Role

• Our Mine Electrician team, composed of 50 people, is integrated in the Mine Maintenance Planning department and focuses on troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and mechanical systems related to underground mining equipment in collaboration with the industrial team.
• As a Mine Electrician, you will work on troubleshooting, assisting/training, and participating in utility job tasks to support the Mine Maintenance Planning team. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the growing Soda Ash and Derivatives family and have a positive impact on transformation journey of Solvay.
• You will be accountable for:
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and/or operations problems with assigned mine equipment.
• Assisting and training others in maintenance tasks.
• Participates and assists in clean-up, production and utility job tasks.
• We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.
  
  

About You

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have 5 years underground electrical experience.
• Competencies:
• Proficient in cutting and welding.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems to include low, medium, high voltage, and AC/DC systems.
• Must pass the Mine Maintenance Mechanic Electrical test at the Grade B level.

About The Pay And Benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $53.00/hr to $55.00/hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
