About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the design, development, and maintenance of plant electrical systems for buildings, transport systems, and power distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
- Establish and maintain construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, national and local codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
- Supervise and train project team members, both internal and external.
- Write Safe Work Permits and perform job setup for anything over 480 volts.
- Champion electrical equipment stewardship.
- Participate in daily planning and scheduling for site maintenance staff, focusing mostly on electrical planning and troubleshooting, but developing skills to fill in for Maintenance Supervisor during short-term absences, as needed.
- Champion SAP electrical planning and scheduling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
- A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment with extensive high voltage experience and also instrumentation experience.
- Experience with industrial Distributed Control Systems.
- Hands-on experience with plant electrical and instrumentation equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in applicable codes related to electrical engineering.
- SAP experience is a plus.
