Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a bottling plant. This includes hiring and training employees, reviewing production records and task orders as well as ensuring the company exceeds customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Be responsible for supervising production output, product quality, warehouse management and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions when necessary
- Assist in creation of plant safety program and ensure commitment to plant safety
- Create and manage plant budgets
- Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
- Oversee work schedules to ensure efficiency
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management.
Qualifications
- Proven managerial experience and experience in the manufacturing or bottling industry
- Familiarity with industry standards including equipment and technical expertise
- Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation and inventory processes
- Experienced and proficient in MS Office
- Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask while working under restrictive timelines.
- Solid critical thinking skills and ability to organize
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, customers, inspectors and auditors.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality at all times and in all situations
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Prior experience working in a production setting preferred
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls
- The employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, squeeze, using wrist flexion and extension with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Job will generally be in a manufacturing site.
