Job Summary
Solutions Staffing Team is sourcing candidates for an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Tester opportunity supporting Zoox in the Atlanta market.
The official title is Level 3 Vehicle Operator. In plain English, this is a safety, testing, and operations role for autonomous/self-driving vehicles. You’ll help operate, monitor, and document how the vehicle performs during testing while supporting a new autonomous vehicle market launch.
This is not a standard driving job. Strong candidates are safety-minded, reliable, comfortable with technology, and able to communicate clearly through written notes and verbal updates.
Duties
- Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles during testing
- Spend time both behind the wheel and observing from the passenger seat
- Document vehicle behavior, road conditions, and testing observations
- Follow traffic laws, safety procedures, and testing protocols
- Conduct basic software operation tasks
- Support vehicle readiness, cleanliness, and basic checks
- Provide clear feedback to operations and engineering teams
- Assist with vehicle movement, logistics, and daily operational needs
Experience Required
- Valid in-state driver’s license
- 3 continuous years of driver’s license history
- Clean driving record / MVR required
- No license suspensions within the past 10 years that still appear on your record
- Ability to type at least 45 WPM
- Comfortable completing a background check, 10-panel drug screen, and MVR review
- Marijuana is disqualifying, regardless of location or state law
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including possible weekends
- Ability to commit to required training with no missed days
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic comfort with technology and documentation
Experience Preferred
- Driving, transportation, or field operations experience
- Customer service experience
- Security, safety, military, or logistics background
- Technical support, QA/testing, or operations experience
- Experience working in structured, safety-focused environments
- Interest in autonomous vehicles, robotics, transportation, or emerging technology
Schedule
Day and night shifts may be available.
Possible shifts include:
- Day Shift: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
- Night Shift: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM
Weekend availability is required.

- Starting pay of $25/hour
- Weekend shift differential may apply

- Up to 7% additional pay may apply for qualifying weekend night shifts
