Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Journey or Senior-level Tableau Developer to join our team and supplement our existing staff. In this role, you will support our on-premises Tableau Server environment and update various dashboards. The ideal candidate must have experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps (ADO) for Agile/Scrum backlog management, and Team Foundation Server for source control, as well as a deep understanding and hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep for creating dashboards and visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop dashboards: Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards using Tableau Desktop.
- Data modeling and transformation: Work with raw data to build meaningful visualizations, often involving SQL and ETL tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Understand business needs and translate them into actionable data insights.
- Maintain and optimize reports: Ensure dashboards are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly.
- Integrate Tableau with databases: Connect Tableau to data sources such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or cloud platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity: Validate data and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Document processes and solutions: Maintain clear documentation for dashboards, data sources, and data flows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tableau Developer.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, coding, and modularization techniques.
- Experience with data modeling and data visualization best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of business operations and experience working with large datasets.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
