Position Summary
The Workforce Development Supervisor plays a vital role within the Solutions for Change Transformational Impact Department. This position is responsible for overseeing all Employment Related Training (ERT) student participants, ensuring that each student experiences meaningful growth through structured work-based learning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide all ERT students and volunteers across designated work areas including Front Desk, Donations, Unit Flips, and assigned training locations.
- Match students with appropriate training roles based on their skills, growth needs, and program phase.
- Ensure each ERT site has adequate coverage with trained, engaged students or volunteers.
- Conduct weekly performance evaluations and communicate progress to Empowerment Coaches.
- Lead weekly ERT scheduling, attendance tracking, and shift coordination.
- Facilitate ERT orientations, morning meetings, classroom sessions, and process groups for students entering or progressing through the ERT phase.
- Conduct quarterly conversations and interventions as needed in partnership with Workforce Development and Empowerment Coaching teams.
- Oversee donation management — sorting, organization, and redistribution to ensure operational flow.
- Maintain consistent communication between departments to support student growth, accountability, and successful employment training outcomes.
- Support the Workforce Development Manager with process improvements and acquisition of training resources.
- Provide transportation and logistical support for off-site ERT activities as needed.
- Uphold and model Solutions Academy principles in all student and staff interactions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
- Experience working with individuals overcoming homelessness, substance use, or other barriers to employment strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a balance of compassion and accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance (required).
