What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher 2026/2007 School Yer position at Solutions Extended Day, Franklin Public Schools?
The Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 15–33 months. This role supports toddlers’ social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities, routines, and positive guidance. There will be two teachers with 9 toddlers.
Key Responsibilities: Keep accurate Solutions program attendance and submit reports when necessary. Maintain an open line of communication with Program Directors. Order materials needed for the Little Solutions program monthly. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience. Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required. Create and maintain a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment Plan and implement age-appropriate activities aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum guidelines Support children’s social-emotional development, including language growth, independence, and self-regulation Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being Maintain consistent daily routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, naps, and transitions Observe, document, and communicate children’s progress and needs Build respectful, professional relationships with families through daily communication Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization in accordance with health and safety standards Follow all FPS program policies and procedures
Qualifications: Degree in a related field is preferred, EEC qualifications preferred, but not required Experience working with toddlers Knowledge of child development and best practices for early childhood education Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Computer knowledge, especially in Google First Aid/CPR/Allergy training will be provided
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move quickly as needed throughout the day Ability to work both indoors and outdoors

Dress Code: The dress Code is Smart Casual.
Hours & Compensation: This is a school year position and will follow the FPS calendar. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6:45-3:45, Wednesday 8:45-4:45
Weekly meeting .5 hour per week
1 hour unpaid break per day
$25 per hour
