Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures and maintaining proper storage practices.
- Conduct sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards across all areas of the facility.
- Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other custodial tools efficiently and safely.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or replacing fixtures to support overall facilities upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, safety inspections, and incident reports as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility needs or requests from staff or visitors.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Must have a smartphone
- Must have your own transportation
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer service and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
