Solution IT Inc. is looking for a Front-End Engineer (Vue.js & Nuxt.js) for one of its clients Chicago, IL / Hybrid
Job Title: Front-End Engineer (Vue.js & Nuxt.js)
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain modern web applications using Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
- Participate in the migration of an existing Vue application to the Nuxt framework.
- Build responsive, scalable, and reusable UI components.
- Consume and integrate GraphQL APIs to retrieve and display application data.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Optimize front-end performance, accessibility, and overall application usability.
- Follow front-end engineering best practices, coding standards, and testing methodologies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process
Required Skills
- 8 years of professional front-end development experience (mid-level to senior).
- Strong experience with Vue.js.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Nuxt.js.
- Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Knowledge of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within an agile development team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Nuxt.js and server-side rendering (SSR).
- Experience working with GraphQL in a front-end environment.
- Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
- Experience implementing accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
- Familiarity with modern front-end architecture and component design patterns.
- Interest in expanding into full-stack development over time.
Work Site: Chicago, IL / Hybrid
Duration: Contract / Potential for Contract-to-Hire
Expected Start Date: Immediate - 2 weeks
