Workplace Service Manager - Atlanta, GA - 6 Month Contract to Hire $65-70/hr W
This position reports directly to the Director, Information Technology Infrastructure, and will lead the Workplace Services globally.
Tasks and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the infrastructure and technical resources require to centrally manage all Workstations and Servers as well as End User Experience and foster collaboration with other technology leaders and team members to provide objective measurements and subjective guidance. This will ultimately drive accountability for IT and Technology, by creating effectiveness measures that work towards the strategic objectives. This position will focus on collaborating closely with all levels of our business organization, as well have direct exposure to C-level executives. Core Responsibilities:
This role will collaborate with key business functions and other IT leaders to deliver the business objectives and contributing to operational excellence.
The Workplace Service Manager leads, plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Workplace Team to provide and maintain the technology-based infrastructure and support services.
Lead and develop a team to manage and support all internal technology needs related to system management, software patching, and PC Lifecycle, including definition of hardware standards.
Design, develop, implement, and coordinate IT policies and procedures for system management, software and hardware asset management and PC lifecycle.
Identify business Use Cases that could be resolved by the implementation of solutions using our existing system management tools and end user experience systems.
Define Global standards for computers and mobile devices.
Work with 3rd parties involved in the supply chain process of computers and software to streamline the procurement and provisioning process.
Liaison with Global Initiatives related to Workplace Services Management (including but not limited to System Management, PC Lifecycle, Policies and standards).
Provide thought leadership, leveraging peer and industry best practices to drive process improvements including identifying, creating, and implementing initiatives to maximize value, reduce risk and minimize cost.
Work with IT staff to troubleshoot and address technical issues as they arise. Escalate issues to management and propose alternate resources to address business impacting issues.
Support budget planning for software and hardware spending based on growth plans and future company need.
